The outstanding personality of Hungarian sculpture enriched Hungarian fine art with her life and work, which spanned almost a century. She was born in Budapest in 1924 into a family of artists. Her father is the ceramic artist István Gádor. In 1954 she graduated from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts.

She was a versatile artist who worked with many materials; from the 1970s onwards, concrete became her trademark. The influence of archaic art is noticeable in her works, but at the same time she used a modern formal language. Sculpture and drawing are closely linked in her art.

Her work has been recognized with numerous awards. She constantly renewed her art, she

was still working and exhibiting at the age of 95. Her public sculpture, erected in Berlin, Germany, can still be seen in Treptower Park . She died in 2022 and left behind a rich and inspiring body of work.
